Pilot Clinical Investigations within the RISET Project
There are currently three pilot clinical investigations being conducted within the RISET project.
The centres carrying out these studies are based in Kiel, Germany; Milan, Italy and Brussels, Belgium.
Each pilot clinical study is designed to evaluate the potential of new strategies for preventing the immune response to a new transplant carefully and safely. It has taken many years of experimental work in the laboratory to reach the stage where a pilot study involving patients can be considered. The RISET project has bought together both scientists and clinicians from different countries in Europe who will work together in an effort to give transplant patients a better quality of life. | |
