News in ethical, legal and regulatory aspects of transplantation
WHO Guiding Principles for Human Cell, Tissue and Organ Transplantation

Resolution WHA 63.22 was adopted on 21 May 2010 by the sixty-third World Health Assembly which endorsed the guidelines for Human Cell, Tissue and Organ Transplantation.

EU Directive on Organ Transplantation

On 19th May 2010 the European Parliament voted in favour of the EU Directive on standards of quality and safety of human organs intended for transplantation.  The package containing the two Commission initiatives - the Directive and the Action Plan - is important in order to ensure high quality and safe organ transplantation across Europe for the benefit of patients.

RISET Final Consortium Meeting

The RISET project is coming to an end this year.  The final consortium meeting will be held in Brussels on 22nd June 2010.
